Some background: I am currently almost 17 and have 2 stable jobs with which I make a a good amount to pay for the ST.

Now, I have looked at both the Fiesta ST as well as the Focus ST and I like the Focus more because it is a more premium car, it is bigger, looks a little better to me, and the extra power surely isn't a downside.

I would take the Focus over the Fiesta but the extra 2 or 3 thousand for it is an issue. I would be getting a Fiesta ST with recaros, nav, but no moonroof. With the focus, I would get the ST3 with no moonroof. Currently Ford has some rebates which make the ST3 a 27K car isntead of a 30k car.

The 2 questions I have are: Which one of the 2 would make a better first car? I heard the Focus ST constantly goes for well MSRP, is this true?
