Not sure if I'm the only one who really liked the idea of 3rd jobs, but I certainly did from a thematic and lore point of view. The obvious issue with them was that the skills were not only pathetic sparse, but also very lack luster. Some of the skills not even being better than first job skills. Hell Ive even heard that some vagrant skills were better. Some classes did come out on top like seraphim and force master but that's it. Seraph in particular had some pretty good skills for a FS but I remember complaints that there was nothing there for a battle RM. The second issue with them being how tedious it was to get because of the master to heroes system.
I played pure yoyo jester, never once switching to bow even as acrobat and I manged to get to harlequin during my time in flyff. The grind did not justify any of it. I could have just stayed 120 hero and missed nothing, but I did it for the extra stats and just to show off really. But the class itself was far from worth it. Whisper dodge was nice but I mean no one meleed in siege/pvp. The block didn't help vs mages or getting asaled/hopped in the face.
With that being said I see huge opportunities here for Universe to overhaul 3rd jobs for the better. Better skills for harder content. For example I'd love to see a crit swing equivalent skill on harlequin. One that gives 50% crit damage that can pair very nicely with crit swing. Powerful and impactful skills to makes the grind worth it. They would unlock at 120 and continue on till 130 without a hero system. Obviously harder content would need to be implemented to justify these Powerful skills. Would anyone like to see 3rd jobs come back with a overhaul?
