With the return of the regular season comes the returned enforcement of our sub rules. Take a moment to refresh yourself on them.

Most posts get deleted for one of the following reasons:

1. Low-effort: More on this in a moment
2. Vague titles: If one has to click your post to understand what it’s about, you will be asked to repost with a more appropriate topic.
3. Link-shortening services automatically get spam filtered, so don’t use them (bit.ly, goo.gl, etc.)

What is Low-Effort?

r/FloridaGators strives to deliver great content, especially original content. We have an ever-growing community of contributors, and the vast majority of removed posts are due to low-effort. We don’t want things like simple image macros to “drown out” quality discussion.

Rarely are stand-alone questions acceptable. Ask in Discord first, and if you end up making a post, share what you’ve learned and know in the post you create.

Comment in the game and weekly threads instead of making posts. This is not your personal blog, and your internet points do not matter.

• Monday Moan Musings Thread: Free talk thread, not just for complaints.
• Whatever Wednesday: Post memes, photos, and other stuff that doesn’t warrant a full post.
• Prediction Thread: Lay out how week's games will unfold.
• TRASH-TALK THURSDAY: Run your mouth about our rivals. Make and pull receipts.
• Free-Talk Friday: As the name implies (within rules, e.g. no religion or politics)
• Digital Tailgate and Games Around the Country: Pre-game, hang-out thread. Post views from your stadium seats, talk about other teams’ games, etc.
• Game thread: Posted one hour before kickoff time. Must follow the template.
• Post-game thread: Posted once the game is officially over. Must follow template.
