I was hesitant to go through with requesting benefit payments because it was still asking for work search contacts.. I decided to just try and you do end up getting a screen about National Emergency that says this:
Mitigating the spread of COVID-19 may have negatively impacted some businesses and Floridians throughout the state. If you are unemployed as a direct result of COVID-19, you may be eligible for Reemployment Assistance. Once this claim has been filed your eligibility for Reemployment Assistance will be determined. To check the status of your claim, please log back into your CONNECT account.
Please indicate below if you are unemployed as a direct result of COVID-19.
So all you have to do is when asked if you searched for work, hit no, than in the Other box in section two, put covid-19 or something similar, and the same in the box below that, submit and it will take you to the previously mentioned screen. I just wish I did this on the 31st when I was first able to request instead of waiting, but hopefully it won't delay first payment to much.
