After I was rooting for Jeremiah ALL SEASON because Gus was acting immature, he had to go and hurt Mattie like that while drinking with everyone else and I was just like “dude, REALLY?! Your timing is OFF!” He’s in the wrong for the WAY he did it and how he basically led a girl on all summer. Poor Mattie.

Now, I don’t think anything is wrong with not wanting an LDR, and I do truly think Jeremiah is at the least socially awkward, but why would anyone PUBLICLY do that to a girl that was hardcore feeling them?! Especially because Mattie was so there for him in the house when no one else was. And I really thought after he did right by Kristen that he’d know how to maturely handle a situation like this but DUDE, your timing on that SUCKED. BIG TIME.

He embarrassed Mattie and hurt her on live TV when he could have pulled her aside sometime beforehand and done it privately without the other roommates there.

I think Jeremiah’s reason was valid, but he made a big mistake with HOW he handled this, and definitely needs to take 100% of the responsibility and apologize to Mattie like a proper gentleman.
