How to secure plywood below wall?

Hi all!
I removed some of the rotten subfloor and working on the other pannel. Im thinking of cutting the plywood flush to the wall and then putting a 3x6 below it nailing it on each end to the existing joists and then screw threw the 2x4 of the wall, the plywood into the 3x6?
Any suggestions?
