Been doing tile work on and off for a few years (mostly off with months to years between tiling jobs) with my ex father-in-law. Been working residential construction and remodeling/tiling full time since June this year. This is my third tiling job on my own without my ex father-in-law around (other guy with me did the plumbing and and acted as my tiling assistant).
Home owner's toilet had been leaking for years as you can see from the rot in the subflooring. Replaced plumbing for toilet and sink under the bathroom in the basement and also installed a drain in the floor per the homeowner's request as an extra precaution. Installed new subflooring with DurRock sheets and Aqua guard.
I know my joints aren't the best looking but hexagon tiles are tricky to work with but glad the homeowner went with a light colored grout to blend in with the tile and in the end they were very happy with the end result and will be doing their other bathroom in the near future.
