I want very much to use my friend's small business company, which is a small independent contracting business. I also got a quote from Home Depot. To install new LVP flooring in my house, my friend's quote is over $1,400 higher. These are the only 2 quotes I obtained. I know a lot of people say LVP is so easy to install, but I cannot do it myself. I get along very well with my friend, and he is professional on-time, and obviously answered all my questions. HD on the other hand, well...it's a big box store and they do just what they're hired to do. Has anyone ever paid a higher quote solely based on the fact that you wanted to either help small business, because you liked the contractor, or another reason? Maybe I'm looking too much into this, and I should just go with HD who is significantly cheaper by far. Thoughts?
