I swear, in the last few weeks I have had way more people doing Best Offers and not paying than I ever have on my entire time on eBay. And not just new eBayers either-- the most recent buyer to do this to me had 700 feedback with lots of recent positives from less than a month ago, so I figured if anything they were safe, but nope.
I sell on multiple platforms (eBay/Etsy/Mercari, sometimes Facebook on my private sales page), and when I accept an offer from someone on eBay that means I have to take the listing down on all of my other accounts, wait 4 days for the person to pay, and then go back and relist it. It's not a huge time sink or anything but it's still a pain, and it might be costing me a sale in the meantime because it's tied up with this yutz who won't pay.
Is this happening to anyone else or is it just me? Because I do a lot of business through offers but now I'm starting to think maybe I should take them down? And maybe just put something in my listing that says you can message me to make an offer? Or if anyone else has any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them.
