So, long story short, my partner and I got our Southwest flight delayed this time last year and got $200 each in flight vouchers. We didn't end up having any plans to use the tickets, so they have sat in my drawer. We plan on taking a trip next summer, but the vouchers require that the end date of the trip be by the expiration date, which is in 3 days (October 23rd). Looking at the terms on the site, if a flight is cancelled after 24 hours, but at least 10 minutes before flight check in, a flight credit is applied to your profile, negating my need to worry about the expiration date.
Honestly, this is my undersranding of it, and im just trying to get a couple pairs of eyes to look at it with me and confirm before I drop my Credit card info, I'd rather not leave a credit for an airline I'm not 100% committed to.
My plan is to book al flight on the 22nd, coming back on the 23rd, and get refund tomorrow night after the card refund policy expires. I am ok with the minimal amount I will pay over the vouchers, I just don't want to lose out on my potentially free tickets/credits.
