I just want to give big props to this show. As an old comics fan who either knew a lot of the OG storylines or spoils nearly every recent comic storyline through my favourite YouTubers, the MCU and DC movies have rarely subverted my expectations. I love the MCU, I do like the DC movies, but it's always so close to the source material that I know where the story is going, and I'm just admiring seeing it brought to life.

Here, I love how everything after Flashpoint in this show subverts my expectations. The villains, the heroes, everything is close enough that I THINK I know where it's going, and then BAMN, expectations subverted. I don't have to filter my thoughts when I watch this show with my girlfriend, we can just talk between episodes and hear each others theories freely, because I'm never right!

I know it's not perfect and people criticize the ending of season 6 and most of season 7, but even then, I really appreciate the overall storylines coming out. It pays a true homage to the source material, while still being its own entity. I just finished the Elseworlds crossovers and am sitting here thinking about how I wish the DC movies were based on this case or crossed over with this cast and with these writers. It's just so good!

So thank you CW and your writers, you are truly making a fan happy :)
