Post Body

Hey everyone, hope you are having a good day.

I recently was pretty much given the opportunity to take a old cb750f that has been sitting since 1990 when the previous owner passed on.

The bike was running when parked and has been parked in a non climate controlled garage since '90.

By a visual look it looks ok but I haven't had a chance to see if the engine will turn over even or have a close inspection for rust.

The bike is a carburetored 4 stroke and has specs similar to this: https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Honda/honda_cb750sc_82.htm

I have some experience with engines and have seen the common advice of changing all fluids and possibly hoses, cleaning the carb and flushing the gas tank and spraying the valves with oil but I was wondering what else I should look for and if I sent it to a shop to do all this how much it could cost price wise?

I'm just wondering if taking the bike is even worth the time and effort?
