Throttle Stop Screw - 1978 CB400A
Post Body

Hey y’all! I may have done something real dumb.

Just picked the bike up from the shop, and I noticed it was having a hard time idling, even with the choke fully opened. The shop just cleaned and synchronized the carbs (didn’t do it myself bc of a bunch of seized screws). Basically the idle just gets slower and slower and then it dies unless I’m constantly throttling it.

Adjusted the idle stop / throttle stop screw just a tidge, like 1/8 turn, and now the idle starts at a normal speed and then goes VROOOOOOM. Like scary vroom. Really fast. My bike doesn’t have an RPM gauge so I can’t get specific.

What direction should I even be turning this screw in? Eek.
