Post Body

Hello everyone.

I am currently rebuilding my 2017 Triumph Daytona 675R and I’m the process of looking for spare parts, I’ve had a few people tell me that the frame is totaled, that even though not visible there are hairline fractures and that the frame’s structural integrity has been irreparably damaged.

My question is, how do I properly assess this? What should I be looking for when looking for frame damage?

It doesn’t appear that the frame is damaged, everything is straight and there are no cracks, dents or dings. I lightly sanded the impacted area of the frame with a fine sanding block to remove the discoloration and have thoroughly inspected it looking for anything potentially damaged.
