2006 Kawasaki ninja 600 Motorcycle sputtering & dying multiple times, after 10 min rest, able to ride for 10-15min

Like it says in the title, it dies then after a cool down period it starts and rides fine until it starts hesitating / pulsing / backfiring & dies again. A few times it sounded like it was doing multiple quick revs and backfired before it died.

I thought it was overheating bc after the break it’s okay for a bit. But it’s been dying with the temp at 190-214 degrees.

I ride it every weekend, rode it yesterday. But today took 2 hours to travel bc of this situation 32 mi.

I’m so confused.
