Print breaks in same spot every time

I've tried printing this part in petg and pla and it snaps in the same spot every time, should I use a different material or is the part just too thin? 2 set screws go in each side to secure it down and every time I get them tight it snaps it. On the left you can see the pla failed at the layer line and the petg on the right broke multiple layers.
