Spacing out sets through a workout day?

Beginner question, didn't see in the FAQ: Let's say I'm doing 5x5 three days a week (or whichever program). I work at home and have the weights in the next room: I find it mentally better to take a five minute break every hour and do a set instead of doing all the sets at once, do I lose much in training this way? On each set I'm pretty much pushing myself as described/instructed.
