My knees hurt from squatting
Post Body

So I started SL about 6 weeks ago and everything has been going pretty well. I've gained about 10 lbs (up to 160 lbs (6 ft)) and have been consistently putting more weight on the bar. Until a couple of days ago I've been fine except for some soreness but that's obviously not a big deal.

But now whenever I do my squats my knees hurt. At first it was just my left knee but now it's both of them. It's fine to walk around and as long as I bend down without going parallel then there really is no pain. But when I do go down far enough it starts to hurt, especially when I drive up.

I've been adding 5 lbs a week as recommended (almost able to put 45s on each side!). Should I go down in weight though? I tried today to going back to 25 on a side but my knees still really hurt.

It's difficult describing where the pain actually is. It mainly hurts in these two regions and on the outside of both knees. Is this something I should be worried about or something I can just stretch out and be fine? Any help would be appreciated.
