Should I still workout during my cut if I’m pretty active during work?

I have a job where I’m walking 10,000 steps a day, sometimes 20,000 on a busy day...it’s usually between 10,000 and 14,000. I plan going to a hiit class 3 or 2 times a week in addition to a deficit....I’ve read that I should lift just to preserve muscle but with everything else wouldn’t I just be at a massive deficit and overdoing it
