How accurate are 5rm calculations the higher up the rep range you go?
Post Body

For instance my progression method right now is to find a weight I can do 3x5. I will then increase this until I can get 3x10. So, for a real example. 60kg x 10 is an estimated 5RM of 70kg. So in theory once I can complete 3x10 at 60kg I should be able to add 10kg & manage 70kg 3x5.

Does this tend to work or is it best to err on the side of caution & only add 5kg to the bar so 65kg & go for 3x5?
