Is there a particular ceiling to the amount of protein the body can absorb per kg of mass?
Post Body

Hi friends!

I'm training for my first season of triathlons and am incorporating weightlifting into my regime alongside the cardio sessions. I've got a weekly split of 6 endurance workouts (2 per event/week) and a stock standard 5 lifting sessions. With all of this cardio, I figured that I should just be focused on eating clean and eating a lot (I've never had much of an appetite so I've often hovered around the classic 2000 Cal/day).

So today, I decided to count calories while eating as I have been in order to get an effective benchmark for what I'm actually taking in. Amidst Greek yogurt, berries, veggies, eggs and meat, I came out to ~3000 calories today and 292g of protein. That second figure seemed a bit bonkers to me, but I got all of my info from nutrition labels and MyFitnessPal.com.

I'm 5'11" and about 167 lbs, so I'm wondering if my body's even capable of harnessing the majority of these nutrients or if I'm just pissing them away. Any response would be greatly appreciated, cheers!
