Exercise at work in uniform, unable to leave the desk
Post Body

I currently work 3rd shift in security watching cameras. In case you didn't know, security work is an exception to breaks/lunch laws as long as employees have the ability to eat while working. Literally trapped in a small rectangle for 8 hours straight not supposed to take my eyes off the monitor for more than 5 minutes. There's actually a camera in here staring directly at me that they regularly review to document customer stuff.

I've got health issues and I'm gaining weight and generally, my body condition is going to crap. I have to do something to gain or maintain some basic fitness level. All I've managed so far is some floor yoga, but it hasn't done me much good. Especially with all the slipping around in these damn shoes.

Limiting factors: I've got to wear professional khakis and dress shoes, which is fairly constricting and slippery on concrete floors. I have to be able to stop whatever I'm doing to receive customers and look fairly professional doing so.

Pros: I'm actually allowed to do things like dink around on a laptop/read a book/do school work/etc. out of customer view as long as I'm stilling checking the cameras every 5 minutes. Also since I'm looking at cameras I get a good minute or two warning that a customer is coming. Co-workers in the basement can sneak up on me, though. I can bring in resistance bands, ankle/wrist weights, that kind of thing no problem.

Any advice appreciated. Research has led me to try pushups where my feet slide everywhere, and squats against the walls that landed me on my ass for the same reason. Chairdesk dips work though! Chair dips alone aren't going to do me much good though. :\
