My Gym said fat calipers are less accurate than bioimpedance machine? Are they right or crazy?
Post Body
Long story short, I started working out recently, wanted to get a body fat measurement to get a metric to track my progress. I asked my gym if they have body fat calipers/measure body fat. One of the trainers said it was inaccurate (they had plastic ones)and their bioimpedance machine was way more accurate than any caliper measurement, and it was $10 to use it.
so what's up with my gym? are they just idiots?
btw, this was a powerhouse gym in michigan.
