ETS2 Repack to Steam progress

So I've been playing the Euro Truck Simulator 2 repack for a while now and got to around level 15-16, I've just bought the game on steam and was wondering if it's possible to somehow continue from where I left off in the repack on the Steam version? I'm thinking surely it should be possible to put the save files from the repack into the Steam game's folder or something like that right? Or maybe the Steam game will recognize the saves on the computer automatically? Thanks in advance
