Hi all! What are some good, inexpensive reels for a beginner? (And I know there are different types, which types are the most beginner friendly?) I've been fishing before, but only a handful of times, and I was a kid. I haven't been fishing at all in my teens or my adult life (as of yet). I've been WANTING badly to, but I'd hate to go by myself, and until a couple years ago I didn't know anyone that actually liked fishing. I already have a rod (I can tell you what rod I have if it's relevant- in fact I've had this thing for at least a few years and I have yet to go out with it, because my friend that does like fishing, we never got a chance to go before I moved away). I'll be fresh water fishing exclusively, as I no longer live near any brackish or salty water. Also, since I'm here, does anyone have any lure recommendations? I already have some lures but I'm 80% sure they're for saltwater fish- I'll be fishing in lake Erie, by the way, if that's relevant information. Lastly I just want to mention I'm finally getting out on the water next Sunday, and I'm just plain excited. The little taste of fishing I had as a kid is a whole love, I remember being so excited to catch little puffers, and now I'm excited to just sit there with a beer and relax! Well, thanks in advance for any reel/lure/bait advice!!
