Any recommended reading for a beginner learning to fish (reel, not fly) in Scotland?
Post Body

I’ve got a rod, a reel, some spinners, and some jerk bait. I’m super excited to learn to fish, specifically for food. Catching a rainbow trout or a brown trout would be incredible.

I’m looking for some good intro reading material to understand a bit of fish behaviour and ecology, angling technique and strategy, as well as fishing laws in Scotland.

If anyone has book or podcast recommendations I’d be hugely appreciative. The ideal would actually be to learn from someone in person, but I imagine that’s hard to find, so I’ll read in the meantime :)

Thanks in advance for any help!!!
