What is the best fishing method for catching the most fish? Lures, Float Fishing, etc ?

Hello, I am level 5 and still kinda learning my way around the game but whats the best fishing method to catch the most fish? I've been using lures at the moment but i feel like its highly ineffective as i have to recast 5 or 6 times before i catch a fish that only sells for like 40 bucks.
