So yesterday I went ice fishing for the first time. Normally on my summer rods I run braid with fluoro or steel leaders but decided to try straight fluoro on my ice rods. When I was letting line out I noticed that my line just felt too loose I know it should be loose while it feeds out with the bail open but in this case the line was bunching up in the guides and every now and then I had to give it a tug to straighten it out plus I was getting line popping up and twisting back on the reel. This isnβt an issue I normally have with braid so I definitely did something wrong when spooling. Running 6lb fluro on an ugly stik GX2 ice rod medium
