Looking for a good rod for heavier freshwater fishing
Post Body

I am relatively new to fishing. I first started fishing in 2020, but I only started to take the hobby more seriously over the past year or so. I have two medium power rods that I use for all-around freshwater fishing. I have caught anything from larger panfish to decent 3-5 pound largemouth, and even 2 foot long Chain Pickerel. However, I am looking to try out targeting larger species of freshwater fish.

Incoming dumb question: Is there a good all-around medium heavy or heavy power rods that I can use for anything from carp, catfish, striped bass, and pike? I can find all of these with relative ease in my region, even the striped bass in the freshwater areas. Just for context, my two medium power rods are a 6'6" St. Croix Premier series rod, and a 7' Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier. Both are spinning rods.

I look forward to any replies. Thank you.
