I have never fished enough to have my own gear. We have boats that will work well for dishing and we keep them on Lake Erie. My 6 yr old has began to ask to go fishing and we need to know where to start. What is a good set of kit for a kid? What type of tackle do you recommend for walleye and perch for lake fishing? Can I just get cheap gear from Walmart/Dicks? Are their recommended decent and affordable? Don’t want to dump a ton of money but get good enough stuff that it works/lasts at least a couple years.
