Canberra lake fishing (Ginninderra)
Post Body

Hey folks,

New to the country, and Canberra done a lot of fishing back home in Scotland, mainly for trout n salmon. Just bought a rod so me and my son can hit the lake, trying some spinners etc and we've been told to try cheese and bread on bait.

Can anyone give me pointers on what sort of set up would be best when fishing in the lake for cod or Redfin, partially what sort of hooks for bait, and how do you get the cheese or bread to stay on the hooks.

I'm used to sticking worms or maggots on, and they don't fall off quite as easily.

Cheers.

We've been trying some meps and I have a couple of hard bodied spinners, but so far no luck.
