Gear Suggestions for new saltwater fisherman

Grew up in Ohio bass and walleye fishing and have gear for that. Lived in Arizona the last decade where fishing sucks. Moving to Houston and excited to be near the ocean for a new fishing experience!!!
Could you guys make some suggestions on rod/reel setups for pier, jetty, inshore, and surf fishing. My knowledge of saltwater fishing is practically 0. Looking to purchase a few setups so I can get back to fishing when we get to Houston.
