Hello, r/fishing
Like the title states I have never caught a fish. Not because I dislike fishing just never had the opportunity. I love seafood and I love fish, the only problem is I don’t know how! How to tie the knot, reel? Or what kind of bait to use? It seems like such a learning curve and the reason I’m writing this is to ask where I could go to learn how to fish?
I want to take my son and teach him how to fish and show him nature, have dad talk, and how to be a man. I live in Oregon and it seems like something everyone I know has done. I tell people the only thing I’ve ever caught is a cane and they laugh. Legit I just want to sit down catch some fish and spend quality time with my boy. Any tips, tricks or advice is much appreciated, thanks again.
