Hey guys so this past weekend I got a gift from a family friend and inside were some 2 or 3 gauge circle hooks for live bait.i don’t have any experience with catching anything like gar but would like some advice and tips about gear such as Line,type of pole,etc.I know they like to eat other fish so I know taking pieces of bream or something else would be ideal but never actually tried cleaning and catching one but would love to.I thought maybe the previous mentioned hooks would be useful as well
