House flooded 5 days after closing.
Post Body

Apparently the outdoor faucet/spigot held pressure during inspection outside, but was leaking about 1-3gal/min inside, at least 12,000 gallons total. It only leaks if the handle is slightly turned, guessing some kids were playing with the hose and didn't close it all the way. This was my second time in the house, have not moved in yet, so the kids thought it was unoccupied.

So far looking like at least $3k for cleanup, but we haven't finished pumping water out/drying to go down and inspect or estimate damages.

Is this something I can claim the inspection should have caught - and ask them to cover my deductible?
