Full time/volunteer here. I was wondering what y’all thought about this situation. I got a ticket going to my full time firefighting job the other day so I went into to pay the ticket and I payed it in $1 bills. No big deal right? Well apparently it was. My full time fire dept thought it was the funniest thing ever nobody cared. But my volunteer dept caught wind of it and now are putting me back on my probie Year. Please note I’ve been on for 2 years. How do you guys feel about this? I feel like it’s over kill for what I did and they said if I make another mistake they will fire me. I’m thinking about quitting and going to a new volunteer dept. This dept is just a whole bunch of drama for a volunteer dept.
