I recently applied for a DoD firefighter/medic job. I am very qualified for the job but im sure it’s competitive. My questions are… how does retirement for DoD firefighters? Benefits? Can you work overtime? Vacation days? Any info is appreciated. I work at a municipal department right now and I love it, but this city is going to hell in a hand basket. Our benefits are at risk and our pay is starting to be way lower than surrounding areas. Thanks
