At the moment, we have a couple of providers that are tied with Google Cloud Messaging. However, we were discussing if integrating Firebase Cloud Messaging will invalidate the use of messages on those providers.
Also, on the other side we noted this on the docs:
FCM clients require devices running Android 2.3 or higher that also have the Google Play Store app installed, or an emulator running Android 2.3 with Google APIs. Note that you are not limited to deploying your Android apps through Google Play Store.
So, this means that if we are targeting to Amazon Devices should we write two separate code bases in order for this to work properly?
