As we’ve already seen people have lost their life from execution of these warrants.
Officers should have to announce themselves prior to entering. How is a homeowner supposed to know the person violently breaking is involved in lawful police action and not someone coming in with intent to harm them?
So one is forced into a position where fearing for one’s life and defending themselves guarantees arrest (if not death).
A lot of me really doesn't understand why police would be willing to do a no-knock, at least not without significant prep beforehand. It seems like an excellent way to potentially get shot or to create a situation where you basically have no option but to shoot someone.
I mean, that's the obvious answer but I'm open to hearing others.

Idk maybe I'm just stupid but with all the money we're dumping into the police budgets maybe they could come up with something better?
