Hey Guys, I have been attempting a Black Eagles maddening run the last couple of months and due to some bad planning on my end and some horrible growths (Ferdinand on one of my three runs didnt get a defense level up until lvl 15). Just looking for some peoples input on classes that are musts, as well as the community's thought on Cyril as a unit... ive never used him but might want to replace caspar with him if hes decent. As it is my first time playing the Black eagles route, and with that using the characters, I feel like I might not be going through the right classes.

A little about how im trying to do this playthrough

- I am trying to use most of the black eagle cast, outside of potentially caspar (he feels really weak)

- This save will be used for both Silver Snow and Crimson Flower so unfortunately benching Hubert isnt a thing that I can do

- I try not to recruit too many outside students as in time-skip I find it sad to be fighting a lot of generics instead of your old classmates.

- I have and will use a single dlc character (like my previous point I want to keep mostly BE characters) and classes if I feel like the character fits in the squad I am making

Outside of that im interesting in hearing what has worked with other people, and potentially what I should be looking out for. Also outside of Edelgard, is there another tanky unit in the black eagles roster? I feel like caspar and Ferdinand are super squishy, compared to the Golden deer units (which i have completed in maddening). I felt like hilda, ralph and after he got going lorenz were pretty tanky. Sorry for rambling a bit... thanks for any help/input!
