Over the years, I've gotten tired of running to Google to find lists of specific unit types in FEH, only to find that certain lists don't exist. Questions like, "Wait, who are all the characters who have gotten Halloween alts so far?" or, "What's the full list of units eligible for Otherworld Bonds?" aren't necessarily easily answerable just by Google. On year 7 of the game, there are now A LOT of units in the pool, too -- it's easy to forget the full list of seasonal units at this point.
As someone with A) apparently too much time on their hands, and B) a love of making spreadsheets, I decided to put together a filterable spreadsheet for myself to help answer these questions when they pop up, and I thought I'd share it here as well for anyone who, like me, loves large spreadsheets that took way too much time to make. I haven't seen another tool like this, so hopefully it doesn't already exist, or I'm going to feel really bummed about the last ~15 hours of my free time.
Basically, I went through the full list of units in FEH and synthesized data from a number of websites to create a spreadsheet with the following categories:
Basic unit information (Full unit name, which character it is, backpack character, which pool the unit is in and any special typing, seasonal theme, rarity, title(s) of origin, game generation, what Duel effect they have, if they have a resplendent).
Typing and weapon use, including color, weapon and movement type, and blessings for Legendary and Mythic units
Base kit, including weapon, assist, special, A, B, and C slots.
Stats and BST. These were copied into a spreadsheet from Gamepress and aggressively sorted until they were in the right unit order, then pasted into my Google Sheet. Hopefully they are all correct, as I didn't manually enter any of them.
For the skills/weapons point, please note the following:
Weapons are categorized as PRF, inheritable, or Arcane. I don't hate myself enough to type out the unique name of every weapon. Sorry!
PRF assists, specials, and A/B/C slots are likewise simply listed as PRF
A/B/C slots are recorded the following way: Skill Name in one column and Tier in the other. So for instance Deathblow 3 and Deathblow 4 are both listed in the A column as Deathblow and are only distinguished in the Tier column.
I had to make some calls for certain types of skills. I denoted the Shield skills (Iote's Shield, etc.) as Tier 2. Likewise for the movement-type skills in the B slot (Drag Back, etc.). Distant and Close Counter as well as the Wards and Foils I put as Tier 3, but the 'upgrades' to DC/CC (i.e. Distant Stance or Close Reversal), with the gold outlines, are listed as Tier 4, even though they score the same in Arena. Likewise, I have Save skills as Tier 3 even though they score 300 SP. This was an executive decision and I'm sorry for anyone who disagrees!
Not that they're particularly relevant, but the A slot skills that boost stats are in there as Stat/Stat or Stat . These are all T3 skills.

Now, if you would like to be able to filter by column, you need to create your own copy, because filtering is technically an edit. To do this, go to File -> Make A Copy. This will give you your own editable version.
To set up filters after that, go to Data -> Create A Filter. This should highlight all columns and rows with data in green, put a green box around the data in the spreadsheet, and add filter icons next to the column headings.
To filter, click on the filter icon. This will give you the ability to:
Sort alphabetically or numerically
Filter by category. For instance, to select only Gen 1 units, go to the filter icon next to the Generation title, click Clear to remove all check marks, and then re-check the 1 to filter by Gen 1. Click Select All to undo this.
Use the search function. For instance, if you want to see all units with Solo skills, go to the A skill column and open the filter menu. Clear all, then type Solo into the search bar and check all the skills that come up. This will filter by all units with Solo skills.
Filter by condition, for numerical columns (i.e., all greater than X or less than Y).
Filter by multiple columns at once (for instance, all flying Halloween units).
The current sorting of the data is by relative time of addition. While this is not a column (I didn't want to enter all the dates units were added) This is now a column, but you can easily return to the current sorting scheme by sorting column A (#) numerically. Quick spreadsheet tip: it's always a good idea to have an order reference column! This is a lesson I've learned the hard way.
At this time, I have not added columns for stats. I couldn't come up with a way to do this quickly, and I got really tired of hand-entering data for every unit. I have a couple ideas, so this may come in the future (especially if it's something people are interested in). I had a brainwave and figured out how to add stats without doing it manually per unit.
Finally, I do plan to update this with new units as they come out. If you make your own copy, you'll either have to copy over data from my master spreadsheet every new banner, or enter it yourself.
I hope this is helpful for folks around here and that you get some enjoyment out of searchable data like this! I've enjoyed playing around with it so far.
Edit 1: If you find an error please let me know! I checked it over a few times but there are 900 units in this game...
Edit 2: I wanted to credit my data sources and it slipped my mind. Thanks to the folks at Gamepress, Gamepedia, and the Fire Emblem Wiki for their excellent FEH databases. This is only a synthesis of their hard work.
Edit 3: Spreadsheet now includes stats and BST.
Edit 4: Courtesy of /u/TeamRocketEliteVGC the spreadsheet now also contains release dates and refine dates, for those interested in that information!
