Post Body

Basically the title.

I'm currently working as a Business Analyst, specifically in benefits outsourcing. There are moments in my work where I have downtime and it's pretty chill. Towards year end, it usually picks up steam and calls for some extra work hours outside of the 40 hour work week. It's these moments during the pick up where I start to question things and whether or not I can continue to tolerate it.

Additional context:

  • I am a 28M and I have been in this position and industry for ~5 years. Switched companies 1 time.
  • Current salary is 82k
  • Savings Rate is probably around ~50% right now. That'll most likely decrease once I move.
  • Will be moving back home with parents to help take care of them. Will take over some of the bills and grocery cost.
  • Job is full time WFH
  • There is room for continued growth, but if I can't handle the work as it is now, I don't know if this is something I should pursue

I feel like my problem is that I don't have the perspective of what is a truly bad job vs. good job. Or that there's something else out there that would click better.
