I have 55 k on target date fund in my 401k I also have 5 k on HSA. And 12 k on brokerage account. When it comes to real estate I have 100k equity in a condo. I want to make sure that I’m on the right track to hit fire as soon as possible. ( I’m currently 29 years old). Here are my questions/ concerns: 1- Are target date funds good option to choose for my 401k ? I feel like they are conservative and I’m not making as much money from them and I’m thinking about just puting everything in my 401 k into VOO and forget about it. What do you think ? 2- I’m planning to get married in the next 3 years but I can’t do prenup due to cultural reasons and background reasons. What are the best way to protect my pre- marital assets? Is doing a trust a good idea in this case ? Also generally what are things that you recommend that I should do to protect my premarital assets? ( given that my fiancé is living outside the United States now and she has 0 income and I don’t expect her to bring money, I’m also not expecting any financial assistance from her but I want to make sure that my premarital assets are protected in case something happens.)
3-Is it a good idea to buy a house under my name before marriage since my future wife is not going to contribute anyway ? And is it going to be considered a marital asset if i bought it before marriage?
And extra advice is welcomed. TC: 140 k
