This is purely for discussion. One important reason for FIRE for many is free time, travel to places. Like stuff that many could not do at 18-20. Want to do later. So, they target to fire at 45. Let's say you are 35 now. You have 40% of your fire amount. Is it an option for you take a break. A temporary fire for 1 year/ 2 year. Do whatever you wanted to do. Travel, teach, relax, backpack, party etc and come back to work again. Why wait till 45 or 50? At 35 you can do lot of stuff that will be very hard at 50. Let's say hiking, adventure sports.
