And I couldn't be happier.
Earlier this month, u/Radio_Moon made a post on this sub, talking about making fingerboards for fun and posted some pictures of his final pieces of work. I hit him up, he gave me a reasonable price and we set it in motion. Within an insane short period of time, he custom made my deck with my specified colors (purple bottom ply, orange mid and emerald green top) and shot me pictures asking if I liked it. I couldn't have sent him payment fast enough.
I highly suggest you guys hit him up, he does great work! Within a weeks time he made my deck and I received it in the mail. About a 7 day turnaround. Mind you, I live in Alaska too. Honestly I plan to get at least a few more from him before he gets sick of making them, haha.
The board itself is shaped to his preferences. He had talked it up a lot and it got me eager to try it out. Very, very shallow concave with a sharp angled tail and nose. The nose being longer outward makes flicking it around feel so satisfying. The build quality is absolutely insane. The deck is quite heavier than any others I have used, but it makes it feel almost luxury-like, high quality and bulletproof. After he dyes the plies and presses, he hits them with a nice coat of lacquer/clear coat. It will take a lot to get some scrapes on this thing, if at all.
Setup is u/Radio_Moon deck, Teak Prodigy Swerve 34mm trucks on Noahwood wheels.
View of the gorgeous purple underside!
Don't mind the leftover grip job.
Trucks added a very low profile. But the nose/tail on this board are steep, so it makes up for it.
