Who is this artist?

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but if it is not, can someone direct me to a better location for my inquiry.
I found this painting at an antique shop recently and it's on an awful not stretching frame and it's so stunning I wanted to take it home and get it properly framed. I also wanted to try and research the artist because the signature looked similar to John Franklin Koenig but the art style doesn't match. My next guess might be Wilhelm Koenig, but even then I'm not sold because I'm not sure he ever did landscapes with buildings in them.
Any ideas?
