Arch vs Manjaro vs Solus vs... anything else? Interested in a distro for a mix of gaming and web development.
Post Body

I used to be a freelance web developer, but then took a break for about a year. Getting back into it now, I've been considering if I should switch distros.

I've been using Arch for a few years, and while the package selection is excellent (love the AUR), I'm just... no longer interested in putting up with the "do it yourself" nature of Arch, and would much rather things "just work" as much as possible--at least as much as reasonably possible with the web development work I'd be doing.

For my DE, I tend to keep coming back to GNOME mostly for how it handles multiple workspaces (i.e. specifically how it adds workspaces as you need them, and how it can keep extra monitors on a single workspace if you desire), and for that it plays nice with my multi monitor setup. I'd be open to other DEs so long as they also handle workspaces well and don't look ancient and dated.

My PC is fairly modern, including 16 GB of RAM, a 980Ti, and Ryzen 2700X.

I plan on trying to us the distro for web development and gaming--with web development arguably being the more important point if only because I'll be keeping Windows around for games.

Other than that, I'm open to suggestions. I like the rolling release nature of Arch, but I'm not a fan of the instability it brings, so I'd be willing to consider a non-rolling release distro if it fits all of my other needs. Ideally I'd just like something that looks nice, simply works, and for the most part stays out of my way; the only real customization I need would be for making sure I can test things properly with the dev work I do, so as much as I love the AUR, I'm not entirely sure I actually need it.

If you have any other questions, let me know. Thank you for your time.
