Post Body

Hello team,Time zone: EST based most likely, play style: MILSIM, attendance req TBA

As the title suggests, I am looking for individuals to help build, develop, and run a military simulation unit. - To be clear you will be instrumental in the success and development of the unit if you decide to come on board as a key leader.

Currently I am deployed overseas but looking to startup or even revamp my previous unit or start from scratch. So far I have explored conventional infantry within the US Army or Marine Corps. I've thought about a heavy weapons delta company to change it up, air mobile/insertions (air assault on a smaller scale), I've even thought about mechanized, and infantry scouts. Whatever we decide on as a group, it would have to be within our scope of experience. The goal here is realism with an extreme focus on tactics and implementation of real world doctrine. Of course we are going to take and pull from this as needed. A good standard bearer for our unit, is the infamous arma-player, Greybeard (link to his profile/posts here if you haven't heard of him) https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198044103707/myworkshopfiles/?section=guides&appid=107410

. I've gotten a lot of feedback from previous unit members, distinguished community members, and even forums and facebook. This unit won't be for everyone, there is a specific population that I would like to reach and provide for. However on the flip side, if all you want to do is be a rifleman and never promote, no one will bother you as long as your contributing to the team, squad, and the unit's mission in game.

I currently have 3 other individuals on the team, I've known them for a while, and have given them some quality training over the months we have been together. However they do not yet have the experience required or knowledge base to take on key leader positions. I define these key leadership positions as: Operations officer/NCO, Training NCO, Company/UNIT XO, 1SG, Platoon Leader and Platoon Sergeant.

As far as leadership development there will OPD and NCOPD sessions and training to make sure our leadership are meeting the standard we are attempting to reach. Promotions aren't going to be for everyone either.

Anyway there is still a lot to work out including schedules, training, the unit type, etc.
