Considering making a flock of finches and need help with some questions!
Post Body

Hi everybody, I was wondering if some of you could help me decide the best option for my recently separated pair of zebra finches. Some background: I had my first couple of zebra finches (Freddy and Lana) and they were great together. Unfortunately Lana got stuck in the water feeder and died. So I got Freddy a new companion, Donna.

Donna is a bully, and I recently separated them because she was plucking a lot of Freddy's feathers. So now I have a very stressed Donna in a smaller cage while Freddy is recovering from her bullying. Im confused on what to do next, I was considering to get a bigger cage and house a small flock (6 birds) of finches, maybe different species? Should I keep Donna and Freddy and maybe get 2 pairs of society finches since they are more peaceful? Or is it better to get 2 more pairs of zebra finches? Or maybe I should just try to reintroduce Freddy and Donna and hope for the best? I don't want to breed at all, so I'm not putting nests in the cage. A cage I'm considering getting - https://www.zooplus.pt/shop/passaros/gaiolas/canarios/gaiolas_passaros/480701

Thank you all, I'm new to finches, I've always had budgies and canaries and never had this kind of problems.
