Hi all,
I wouldn’t mind a career in finance, but I unfortunately majored in political science and religious studies so I have difficulty breaking in.
I do have experience with solar and energy though. I worked as a data monitoring analyst for a solar energy cooperative and I am currently working for the state in a conservation role. Though I Do a lot of different projects for the state, my speciality is in energy conservation. Along with my degree, the state has allowed me to pick up a lot of different certification in regards to energy.
Is there a way I can get a job in banking and finance in relations to energy? (I am always ok with jobs not having to do with energy, but I feel it’s easier to break in since I have some knowledge regarding energy.)
I once found a bunch of jobs at a local credit union where I used to live that involved analyzing and approving loans to homes and businesses for solar so I know these kinds of careers exist. I just do not know where to find them and what they would even be called.
Thank you
